What are the
signs that my
boobs are
developing?

#boobs, #puberty

One of the first signs you've started puberty is when you develop breasts, which can be noticed up to 2 years before your period arrives.

Normally, the first sign is when you develop the ‘breast bud’, which are basically small raised lumps behind your nipple area. Breast buds are made up of milk glands, tissue, fat and muscle and it's very normal for one to start showing before the other. It might also take a few months before the second breast starts to develop too. They might also feel a bit tender, especially if they’re accidentally knocked. This is very normal as the breasts continue to develop over the next few years.

It's also not unusual for the nipple area to become a little sore and sometimes cracked. Don’t worry; rub a little cream in before you go to bed to prevent them from feeling sore or tender.

What’s normal?

#boobs, #puberty

No matter what you hear, see or read, all breasts are great and no size is better than any other. The size of your boobs that you'll end up is partly down to genetics, which means you're likely to take after your mum or dad’s side (weird right!) It's also true that no two breasts are exactly the same, and one breast might always look slightly different in shape and size to the other, even when fully grown. Some girls are really proud of their new shape, while others feel embarrassed if they develop breasts first. Either way, just remember girls hit puberty at different stages so therefore develop their own boobs at different times and there’s no rush!

It's funny to think that when you get older, like 14-15, that you actually stop caring about how much they are going to grow. When I was 11 I got a sports/crop top bra, and I was so focused on them growing, everyday. When I turned 12, I got a bra with a clasp but not padded, and I was thrilled! But same thing, you watch them everyday, and they don't really seem to grow. I yearned for a padded bra! I got a padded bra when I was 13, and I think when I turned 13, I forgot all about them. I stopped thinking about how big they were, or standing in front off the mirror looking at them.... From age 13-14 I would look in the mirror one day and be like "Man those have grown!" My point is, a watched pot never boils (Or very fast at least!), so if you stop thinking about them, or looking at them, over time they will seriously grow. Now I have 2 padded and underwire bras (They are so comfy!) and am a 34B, age 14 and 1/4. Anyway, I just wanted to share that because I feel like it was a big turning/growing point for me.... Bye!

This really helped when growing up and made me feel more secure. I also learnt a bit more and I can now teach my two daughters 😁!

i am bra size 30 a is this normal 4 a 13 year old?

?•?•?

I’m 12 and already like a C cup. Sometimes I think I look nice w boobs but lots of my friends are pretty much flat and it can be kinda embarrassing. My mum is a DD but in my dads side it’s all B and C cups so I think I’ll stay sort of the same. I k ow some girls love boobs but I wish mine were smaller… Can’t change that tho. I guess I’ll learn to live them. I have asked my mum to get me a bra before school starts so I’m more comfortable. I guess just don’t worry because tbh I don’t think anyone cares how big your boobs are unless they’re insecure.
