If you have a question, you’re not alone. We’ve answered thousands, and no topic is off-limits. Ask Vicki is a real person (not a bot!). She has plenty of experience but isn’t a medical professional—if she doesn’t have the answer, she’ll help you find the right support.
We’re here for you—just ask!
Find Your Answer
If you’ve asked Vicki a question she’ll post the answer on this page (and the best thing is nobody will ever know it was you that asked!).
Once you’ve asked your question there are four different ways to find out the answer you need:
1.
Type in the unique reference number you were given after you asked your question.
2.
Enter a keyword or words from the question you asked to find an answer. For example use the keywords 'period' 'first', if you asked, "I'm 13, when will I get my first period?"
3.
Search for a question by clicking on one of the categories.
4.
Look through the most recently asked questions, which appear below.
You never know, the other questions that have been asked might be worth looking at too. :)

I met a guy who seems really sweet and says he likes me, but I’m struggling to believe it because of my insecurities. He was really lovely and told me I was gorgeous which nobody has ever said to me. Is it normal to feel this way?

Hi Vicki, I was just wondering what gifts are good for a girls 13th birthday that are popular, not too expensive and a nice thing. Thanks

Hey I’m the same girl who was looking for some advice earlier this week about feeling homesick on holiday. I still feel really homesick and I have told my friend. I thought I’d feel fine by now as it’s Saturday and knowing that I’ll be going home on Monday will make me feel better but I genuinely feel still so homesick. I keep wishing we just came for like 5 days. Any advice on how to make the time pass? My flight is in the late afternoon on Monday aswell which is so annoying and I just don’t know what to do. I know Monday is really soon but I can’t help but feel it’s still so far. I just really want to be home. Please any advice? Thanks x

Hi Vicki, I am almost 18 and for about seven or eight months to a year I’ve been having a nipping pain in my groin/inner thigh every time I have my period about a day or two before and for about two to three weeks after. Its really annoying and sore and doesn’t feel the same as period cramps. I don’t like going to the doctors cause I have health anxiety and so don’t want to go there but I am worried. It’s not been like constant over the past year but it comes and goes and usually gets the worst after I’ve had my period which I’ve been having for nearly 3 years in august but its still irregular. Thanks for reading. Isla

I know that using a bidet means that you use less toilet roll, but how are you supposed to dry off? Can I still use toilet roll? And, how do others clean if they don't have one?
